Our Goal - To Make A Difference by Teaching Teens to Lead
J. Kyle Braid was a Sophomore-one of few starters on the varsity football team. During practice, a well-meaning coach told the 16-year old to get bigger, stronger, and faster "no matter what it takes." After several months of secretly using anabolic steroids-which can cause uncharacteristic aggressiveness, depression, and manic mood swings-Kyle, impulsively, took his own life. Kyle, as he was known to everyone, was dedicated to putting a smile on people's faces and laughter in their hearts.
As an only child, he was raised in a loving household with two parents who taught him good values and high standards.
The Foundation was started by family and friends who recognized that if a tragedy like this could happen in the Braid family, then all of our children are fragile-and at risk. Everyone associated with the Foundation is dedicated to helping young adults develop a balance between their family, friends, school, athletics, and their God-no matter what it takes.
Our goal is single-mindeld and unwavering: to reach the best of America's teens and teach them how to become effective and successful leaders in their schools and throughout their respective communities. We hope you will join us. Become an active participant in your teens' lives today.
