Donavin played Basketball for 2 years at Marietta College. During his senior year he started his own irrigation business. He is now employed at Vanderwist of Cincinnati where he is the Production Manager. His hobbies include racing in SCCA autocross events. In 2006 he became the JKB Sponsor/Advisor for Lakota East HS. He and his wife, Gina, live in Monroe, OH with their son Donavin V. Both Donavin & Gina have volunteered at the Ranch during the summer sessions. Donavin installed the irrigation system for the Fitness Center at the Ranch.

Kathleen was a 4-year Varsity Volleyball letter winner at the University of Illinois. In addition, she was Academic All Big Ten (2002-2004) and Academic All American Finalist in 2004. Upon graduation, Kathleen worked for one year as a Forensic & Dispute Services Associate at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago. She is currently working as an Assistant Marketing Manager in the racquet sports division of Wilson Sporting Goods in Chicago. Kathleen has volunteered at the Ranch for the past 4 summers. She is currently living in Chicago, Illinois.

Katy Leman attended the University of Illinois where she was a three-year letter winner in Womens Volleyball. Katy earned All Big Ten Academic Recognition in 2003, 2004, and 2005. She was also a George Huff Award Winner in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Katy earned her undergraduate degree in Speech Communications and continued on to achieve a Masters of Education in Human Resources. She now works in Human Resources as an Organizational Development Specialist for Schneider Electric at their North American headquarters in Palatine, IL. She and her husband J. reside in Palatine, IL.

John lettered in Football while at Naperville North. He attended
Dartmouth and graduated from North Central College. Along with his brother, he helped initiate the JKB Program at NNHS in 1997. Currently, Koranda is a real estate investor and manager. He also traded US treasury spreads for a period of time. John has been involved with multiple charities including disaster relief efforts in Thailand and in Louisiana after Katrina. John recently became engaged and will wed in June 2009. He & his future wife, Taylor, will reside in Naperville.
CHARLES G. MACKO

Charles was a two sport athlete at Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL (Diving/Gymnastics) as well as active in the school music program, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Youth Symphony. He attended the University of Illinois on a music performance scholarship within the UIUC School of Music. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Macko stayed at the U of I for one more year working on his Masters Degree. In 2007 Charles moved to Iceland to attend the Iceland Academy of Fine Arts in Reykjavik. While in Iceland, Macko played with various small ensembles as well as the Reykjavic Opera Company & the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Charles is currently back in the Chicago area finishing his Masters of Music Degree in Double Bass Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts studying under Chicago Symphony bassist, Stephen Lester. Charles has volunteered at the Ranch for the past several years.

Mike was a three-sport athlete at Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL. He went on to play basketball at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. While at Augustana, Mike was the Captain of the conference championship basketball team & served as the President of the student Athletic Advisory Board. He was selected by his professors as the top business student in his graduating class. Mike was recently admitted to the Illinois Bar (November 2006) and is a newly published author in a top legal journal. He focuses his practice in corporate law & estate/tax planning at Handler, Thayer & Duggan in Chicago. He resides in the city of Chicago. Mike has remained active in JKB through fundraising efforts and speaking at Foundation events & workshops
